Check your balance via the provider’s website or app

The easiest way to check the balance on your pay as you go SIM is probably to log in to your account, which you can access via the provider’s website or app. There you’ll find all the information about your pay as you go SIM and can also check your balance status.

Can I check my pay as you go SIM balance from another phone?

Yes, if you want to check your balance on your account via the provider’s website, you don’t have to do it from your phone – you can actually use any device. However, in most cases you will need to have a registered account with the provider.

If you are not registered with the provider, you may need your SIM card to check your balance using another device. With O2, for example, you simply insert the SIM card into the device you want to use, disconnect from WiFi, connect to the network and go to My O2, where you should be able to check your balance without logging in.

Why can’t I see a balance on my pay as you go SIM?

In some cases, you may not see your balance immediately after topping up your pay as you go SIM, as it can take a little while for the balance to update. How long it takes can also vary depending on how you chose to top up your pay as you go SIM.

If you can’t see a balance even though you’ve topped up, check if the money has been withdrawn from your bank account. If the payment has been taken, you may need to wait a little while for the balance to reach your pay as you go SIM. But you shouldn’t have to wait more than a day; if you do, please contact your provider directly to resolve the issue.
